In February of this year I facilitated a 8-week online course on the Holy Spirit. Two of the sessions were spent on the New Testament phenomenon of born from above (born-again) experience. I showed from scripture that both the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit and the prophetic/charismatic baptism of the Holy Spirit are separate realities from the born from above experience. They are co-related, but the born-again experience specifically addresses humankinds’ problem with sin. It is through this new birth that we have been set free and we now hold in seed form the ability to overcome slavery to sin. 

Soon after the Holy Spirit classes concluded it was laid upon my heart to expound on this topic and facilitate another online course to help folks (and myself) to further enter and walk in Jesus’s promise to free us from sins. A week ago a handful of folks and I completed a 6-week Freedom from Sins class that I put together. The YouTube playlist below is compiled from our class sessions. We covered a variety of areas including defining sin and its effects, the truth about God’s relationship to sin, the truth about our identity, the truth about our relationship to sin (both before Christ and now in Christ), and what does it really mean to be set free from sin and set free from the Law of Moses. 

What I have put together in these six sessions has dramatically changed how I see God in relationship to sin, how I see myself in relationship to sin, and has brought so much life to my life. This playlist will do the same for you—enjoy!
